Giclée print, By The Shore
Giclée print, By The Shore
By the shore is inspired by story of the Sirens. The Greek myth is that they were actually birds with the faces of women and the sweet song that sailors would crave to hear would kill them, charming! But later, during the medieval period, they become women with fish tails, mermaids. The thing they have in common is that beauty is deadly, and beautiful women are deadly. This sentiment has rung out over the past 2000 years.
But what of the woman's point of view? Were they really trying to the kill sailors and be a danger to men at sea?
